Twelve 120th Airlift Wing noncommissioned officers and six senior noncommissioned officers were welcomed into their new ranks during an induction ceremony held in the 120th AW Headquarters Building Larsen Room December 4.

The ceremony provided an opportunity for family members and coworkers to witness the recognition of 120th AW Airmen who have transitioned into higher ranks and taken on additional responsibilities.

120th Force Support Squadron Services Journeyman Staff Sgt. Todd Monroe read the oath to the 12 newly-promoted NCO inductees.

Once the NCO Induction Ceremony was completed, the senior NCOs were requested to form up on the stage in front of the audience.

120th Airlift Wing Headquarters Squadron Superintendent of Inspections Senior Master Sgt. Bill Shirley read the Senior NCO Creed and administered the oath to the Airmen.

"You have not merely been promoted one pay grade-you have joined an exclusive group," Shirley said. "As with all groups, you have a responsibility to the other members, as they have responsibility to you too. This vital and highly regarded position you have now reached exists because of the attitudes and performances of all top three noncommissioned officers that have come before you."

Following the completion of each group's oath 120th AW Command Chief Master Sgt. Steven Lynch presented each of the recognized NCOs with a certificate of induction.

At the conclusion of the two induction ceremonies 120th AW Commander Col. Lee Smith led senior staff, coworkers and family members through a reception line congratulating the new wing NCOs and senior NCOs.
