Chief Master Sergeant COLTIN D. SWEENEY

CMSgt Coltin D. Sweeney is the Command Chief assigned to the 120th Airlift Wing, Montana Air National Guard, Great Falls, Montana. As the Wing Command Chief, he represents the highest level of enlisted leadership and is the principal advisor to the 120th Airlift Wing Commander. Chief Sweeney is responsible for all matters influencing the health, morale, welfare, and professional development of Airmen assigned to the 120th Airlift Wing. Chief Sweeney joined the Air Force October 2002 with follow on technical training at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas. He completed the Utilities Systems Apprentice course May 2003 and then began his first duty assignment with the 60th Civil Engineer Squadron, Travis AFB, California. While assigned there, he utilized the Palace Chase program transferring to the Montana Air National Guard and became part of the 219th RED HORSE Squadron, Malmstrom AFB, Montana in October 2004 During Chief Sweeney’s tenure at the 219th RED HORSE Squadron he was assigned as the Emergency Manager, Commander Support Staff Superintendent, Materiel Management Superintendent, and Logistics Section Superintendent. Chief Sweeney was selected to work as an agent of the Air National Guard Readiness Center to facilitate a Total Force RED HORSE Enterprise re-structure and revitalization transitioning the organizations into a capabilitiesbased force multiplier rather than an in-place enduring rotational force. Chief Sweeney has supported Exercise INTIAL LINK, Shaikh Isa Air Base, Bahrain; Operation IRAQI FREEDOM, Contingency Operating Base Speicher, Iraq; Operation ENDURING FREEDOM, Ali Al Salem Air Base, Kuwait; Operation ENDURING FREEDOM, Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan, and Operation INHERENT RESOLVE, Erbil, Iraq. Prior to his current position, Chief Sweeney was the Senior Enlisted Leader of the 219th RED HORSE Squadron, Malmstrom AFB, Montana.
