Colonel Jason W. Green

Colonel Jason W. Green is the commander of the 120th Airlift Wing, Montana Air National Guard, Great Falls, Montana. As the Wing Commander, he ensures highly trained Citizen Airmen can deploy anywhere, anytime, in support of national and state objectives. He is responsible for the management of eight C-130H3 aircraft, equipment, and other wing assets valued at nearly three quarters of a billion dollars. Colonel Green ensures the wing can meet mobilization requirements and effectively integrate with the active component under all contingencies, and he serves as a vital member of the Adjutant General's Senior Staff.

Col Green enlisted in the Montana Air National Guard in June 1989 as an Aircraft Maintenance Specialist. After college, he was selected for Undergraduate Pilot Training and received his commission from the Academy of Military Science, McGhee-Tyson Air Force Base in Knoxville, Tennessee. Col Green graduated from Undergraduate Pilot Training in January of 1998, and his flying assignments include operational tours in the F-16 Fighting Falcon, F-15 Eagle and C-130 Hercules. Col Green has served as Operations Chief of Scheduling, Chief of Training, and the Wing Program Manager. He has also been assigned as the Chief of Safety, Director of Operations, Chief of Standardization /Evaluation and as the 186th Airlift Squadron Commander for the 120th Operations Group, Montana Air National Guard, Great Falls, Montana.

Col Green is a command pilot with more than 3500 hours in the F‑16A/C, F-15C and C-130H1/2/3. He has qualified as an instructor, evaluator and Mission Commander in multiple aircraft. His operational experiences include over 200 combat and combat support hours in Operations SOUTHERN WATCH, IRAQI FREEDOM and INHERENT RESOLVE along with numerous deployments in support of Operations CORONET NIGHTHAWK and NOBLE EAGLE. Prior to his current position Col Green was the Commander of the 120th Mission Support Group, Montana Air National Guard, Great Falls, Montana.
