219th RED HORSE Squadron builds retaining wall
Airman 1st Class Clancy Mickelson, who is a vehcile maintanier by trade with the 219th Red Horse unit from Montana, skillfully operates an excavator in a riverbed near Colorado Route 36. His civilian job has been working for his father in a landscaping business which has made him an expert in operating this excavator which is why he was hand picked to assist on this project. National guard units from Colorado, Utah, Kansas and Montana participate in reconstruction the Colorado State Route 36 after recent floods devistate the area. Army and Air National Guard units provide civil engineer and Red Horse units to repair the roads and provide a 24-foot wide passable road before December 1st, 2013.
